School counselors deliver direct services to students through responsive services (individual and group counseling and crisis response), individual student planning (academic and career planning), and school counseling core curriculum (classroom presentations and group activities). School counselors also provide indirect services for students through referrals, consultation, and collaboration with parents, staff, and community organizations.
